Cornelia Löscher
The Salzburg native Cornelia Löscher studied with the following professors: Irmgard Gahl, Benjamin Schmid, Joshua Epstein, and Ernst Kovacic and took part in numerous master courses. She graduated with honors from the University of Vienna in 2005.
She has been awarded several prizes from several competitions in Austria and abroad (winner of the "Alfredo Marcosig" competition Italy). She was also awarded the Christa Richter Steiner Prize by the Friends of the College Mozarteum( Verein der Freunde der Hochschule Mozarteum). She is also the winner of Austria's Radio Station (Ö1)'s violin competition. Therefore she played the Ceruti violin 1840 between 2003 and 2005.
Cornelia Löscher has played as a soloist in Austria (Großer Saal des Mozarteums in Salzburg, Kongreß Innsbruck, Schlosstheater, Palais Schwarzenberg, Brahms Saal together with Ferhan and Ferzan Önder, Großer Saal and Mozartsaal of the Wiener Konzerthaus, Mozarteum Salzburg , Schloss Grafenegg), Aula of the University Salzburg, Radiokulturhaus Vienna, Haydn Festspiele Eisenstadt, Styriarte), in Italy (Montagnana Festival with Orchestra di Padua and Veneto with Piero Toso, in Switzerland (the Austrian Festival in St. Gallen), Bulgaria. England, Morocco, Germany and other well-known festivals.
Cornelia Löscher is also engaged in ancient music. She was a concertmaster for the Viennese Bachsoloists and for the Salzburger Hofmusik, as well as lecturer of the Weizer Barocktage. Often she performs Mozart and Beethoven Sonatas for piano and violin with fortepiano. Among her partners are Wolfgang Brunner and Hrvoje Jugovic.
Many chamber music and solo CDs ("J.S.Bach Partitas for violin solo" as well as the ORF CD "Solo" with works from Bach to Boulez) document her artistic ability in a very impressing way.
Luca Monti
The Italian pianist Luca Monti studied at the Conservatory in Terni with Elio Maestosi, at the Hochschule für Musik in Zurich with Jürg von Vintschger and, finally, at the University of Music in Vienna with Professor Noel Flores. In addition, he has also attended master courses with Vera Gornostaeva, Hans Graf, Vlado Perlemuter, Harvey Shapiro, Rudolf Buchbinder, and Sergio Perticaroli. Achieving technical perfection and finding his own individual style were the essential aims of his musical education, during which he was also acclaimed internationally: he is prizewinner of a number of prestigious competitions, such as the "Beethoven Piano Competition" in Vienna in 1989 and 1993, Casagrande-Italy, Senigallia, and ARAM Rome.
Vienna formed the basis for his career which has taken him to festivals and concert in Austria, Germany, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Croatia, Poland, the USA and Canada.
Besides having an intense career as a soloist, Luca Monti is also deeply involved in chamber music: he has won numerous 1st prizes in international competitions with the "Ison" Trio (including the "International Osaka Chamber Music Competition" – Japan and the Int. „J. Brahms Chamber Music Competition in Pörtschach“ - Austria). Luca Monti's main partners are the soloists Julian Rachlin, Lidia Baich, Joji Hattori, Christoph Stradner, Anton Sorokow, Roland Lindenthal, Eszter Haffner, Melina and Orfeo Mandozzi and mainly members of the Wiener Philharmoniker, the Wiener Symphoniker and the Wiener Kammerorchester Today Luca Monti lives and works in Vienna, which has now become his adopted home, and where he teaches at the University of Music and Performing Arts and at the Conservatory of Vienna – Private University.
Hannes Gradwohl
A native of the city of Eisenstadt cellist Hannes Gradwohl received his education at the Haydn Conservatory Eisenstadt, at the Vienna University of Music and at the Scuola International Duino (Italy).
He has won in national and international competitions and has been awarded the Culture Prize of the city of Eisenstadt, the Culture Prize of the Province of Burgenland, the Culture Prize "Viennese Musical Clock"Culture Prize of the Mozart Society of Vienna and an honorary diploma from the Academy of Music "Accademia Musicale Chigiana" in Siena.
From 1992 to 2010 he was a cellist in the Haydn Trio Eisenstadt founded by Harald Kosik, Bernd Gradwohl and Hannes Gradwohl.The ensemble has received instruction in the chamber music class of the Vienna Academy of Music and participated in master classes given by the Trio di Trieste. In 1994, the renowned Accademia Chigiana in Siena bestowed on the Haydn Trio Eisenstadt the Honorary Diploma for “best piano trio” and an award for “the best foreign contribution” of the entire festival. This distinction led to their being admitted to the Scuola Internazionale di Musica da Camera del Trio di Trieste which the ensemble attended for two years. Since 1995 the Haydn Trio Eisenstadt has presented the exclusive concert cycle named “The Piano Trio” at the Haydn Festival Eisenstadt held at the Haydn Hall at the Esterhazy Castle. The cycle features all 39 piano trios by Joseph Haydn as well as principal works of the piano trio literature.In the Haydn-Year 2009, the bicentenary of Joseph Haydn´s death, the Ensemble toured around the globe as musical ambassadors of Joseph Haydn´s home region and performed 158 concerts all over the world. From 2011 on he has been a member of the Haydn Piano Trio.
Concerts have taken him throughout Europe, to the USA, Canada, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, South Africa, Israel, Malta, Cyprus, Turkey, Russia, China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. The complete recordings of all trios by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert were made with the Haydn Trio Eisenstadt. Hannes Gradwohl gave master classes at various universities (including Los Angeles, Montreal, Moscow, Kiev, Brasilia, Seoul).
